Advertising & Sponsorship Terms

These Terms and Conditions ("Agreement") govern the placement of advertising and sponsorship on True Radio, a brand owned and operated by True Media Group Limited.

1. Definitions

  • True Radio: Refers to the radio station operated by True Media Group Limited.

  • Advertiser/Sponsor: Refers to the individual or entity purchasing advertising or sponsorship on True Radio.

  • Agreement: Refers to these Terms and Conditions.

  • Contract Term: The agreed duration for the advertising or sponsorship as specified in the quote.

2. Company Information

True Radio is owned and operated by True Media Group Limited. Registered Company Number: 15743795 Registered Address: 6 Brunswick Street, Carlisle, Cumbria, United Kingdom, CA1 1PN True Media Group Limited is registered in England with Companies House. 

3. Use of Funds

Advertising and sponsorship fees collected by True Radio are used to cover the following:

  • Production costs of any on-air advertising or sponsorship tag audio.

  • Operational costs and cash flow for True Radio.

For clarity, no profit or earnings from advertising or sponsorship will be distributed to staff or members of True Radio.

4. Broadcast Reliability and Technical Issues

True Radio endeavors to maintain a resilient broadcast chain. However, technical issues can occasionally occur, which may result in a temporary inability to broadcast as normal and a consequent loss of scheduled advertising playout. Such technical issues are inherent to radio broadcasting, regardless of station size.

True Radio cannot be held responsible for interruptions to broadcasting due to technical issues. We will, however, use our best endeavors to restore normal output as soon as possible. External factors, such as streaming provider outages, are beyond our control and may also affect our ability to broadcast.

5. Suspension of Advertising during Major News Events

True Radio reserves the right to temporarily suspend scheduled advertising during major news events that necessitate a break from normal programming. This is done to ensure the timely and effective delivery of important information to our listeners.

6. Contract Term and Payment

  • The specific contract term length for all advertising and sponsorship will be clearly specified in the individual quote provided to the Advertiser/Sponsor.

  • All monies due for advertising and sponsorship must be paid in full prior to the commencement of the agreed broadcast. True Radio will not broadcast any advertising or sponsorship until full payment has been received.

7. Right to Cancel by True Radio

True Radio reserves the right to cancel any advertising or sponsorship contract at any time if it is deemed, in True Radio's sole discretion, not suitable to continue. In such instances, any credit or refund due will be discussed and agreed upon between Chris Kelly (CEO - True Media Group) and the Advertiser/Sponsor.

8. Cancellation by Advertiser/Sponsor

If an Advertiser/Sponsor wishes to cancel their advertising or sponsorship contract, they must provide one (1) full month's notice in writing to True Radio.

If the cancellation occurs before the completion of the minimum contract term (as specified in the quote), True Radio reserves the right to withhold any refund, or to offer only a partial refund, at its sole discretion.

9. Licensing

True Radio is fully licensed in the UK by Phonographic Performance Limited (PPL) and the Performing Right Society (PRS) via an agreement with Live365. This ensures that all necessary music licensing requirements are met for broadcast.

10. Station Closure and Insolvency

True Media Group Limited carefully manages its finances to ensure the sustainable operation of True Radio. However, unforeseen changes to the economy or external factors may significantly affect the station's operating costs and its ability to continue broadcasting.

Should the continued broadcasting of True Radio no longer be viable, True Media Group Limited will, where possible, endeavor to refund advertisers any remaining credit. However, it is important to note that if True Media Group Limited enters into insolvency, and no funds are available, such refunds may not be possible.

11. Communication of Changes

True Radio will communicate any changes that directly affect the agreed sponsorship or advertising (e.g., significant schedule changes, format alterations) to the Advertiser/Sponsor as early as possible.
